What We Do

Uplifting emotional well-being behind bars

Psychosocial Support

Psychosocial Support

Motherhood is a journey filled with emotional highs and challenges—and for incarcerated women, this journey is made even more complex by isolation, stigma, and trauma. At Hope for Prison Babies Initiative Uganda, we provide psychosocial support that addresses the mental and emotional needs of these mothers.

Our services include individual counseling, group therapy, and peer-led support circles that give women a safe space to share, heal, and build resilience. We work closely with trained professionals and prison counselors to promote emotional well-being and reduce stress and depression.

By strengthening mental health, we not only help mothers better care for their children, but also improve their chances of reintegration, rehabilitation, and rebuilding positive futures beyond incarceration.

Every woman deserves to feel heard, valued, and emotionally supported—even within prison walls.
