What We Do
Promoting change and building bridges beyond prison

Advocacy & Reintegration
At Hope for Prison Babies Initiative Uganda, we are committed to raising awareness about the unique challenges faced by babies born in prison and their mothers. Our advocacy efforts aim to inform policy, influence systemic change, and mobilize public support to protect the rights of these vulnerable groups.
We engage with lawmakers, community leaders, and the media to amplify the voices of incarcerated mothers and their children. Through campaigns, policy briefs, and stakeholder forums, we work to ensure that national frameworks prioritize humane treatment, child-friendly prison policies, and family-centered solutions.
Beyond advocacy, we support mothers as they transition from incarceration to freedom. Our reintegration programs focus on rebuilding family ties, securing housing, finding employment, and continuing parenting education—ensuring mothers and children leave prison with a plan for stability and unity.
Every child deserves a life beyond prison bars—and every mother deserves the opportunity to parent in dignity and hope.
