Core Objectives

Our vision in action — guided by compassion, justice, and dignity.

Our Core Objectives

Our objectives are at the heart of everything we do — ensuring every baby born in prison has a fair start and every mother is empowered to rebuild.

To promote the health and well-being of babies living in prison through access to nutrition, medical care, and age-appropriate early childhood development services.

To support incarcerated mothers with psychosocial support, parenting education, life skills training, and reintegration planning.

To provide essential materials and supplies such as baby clothing, bedding, diapers, hygiene items, and educational toys to enhance the quality of life for babies in prison.

To raise public awareness and advocate for policy reforms that recognize the rights of children living in prison and the unique needs of their mothers.

To collaborate with the Uganda Prisons Service and other stakeholders in designing and implementing programs that improve prison conditions for mothers and their children.

Our Goals

We aim to create long-term impact for children and mothers in prison by achieving the following goals:

Improve the physical and emotional health of prison babies and their incarcerated mothers.

Reduce developmental delays and emotional trauma experienced by babies in confinement.

Enhance parenting capacity and emotional resilience of incarcerated mothers.

Facilitate smoother reintegration of mothers and children into society after release.

Influence national policies to include child-sensitive approaches within the prison system.
